AI tools for developers have exploded. There are AI coding assistants, AI debuggers, AI code reviewers, AI documentation writers, AI test generators. The hype is overwhelming.
I’ve been integrating AI into my development workflow for two years. Here’s what actually works, what’s overhyped, and what’s worth paying for.

Start with Cursor. Add Claude Code when you hit its limits. Don’t overcomplicate your stack.
